Virtual Nerd Video Math Help

This site has more than 1,500 videos illustrating how to solve math problems for students in grades 6-12. Topics include 6th-8th grade math, pre-algebra, algebra 1 and 2, geometry, and Texas digits skills and standards. Topics can also be viewed by common core standards, SAT, and ACT.

Each topic is broken down to specific focus concepts, such has how to calculate the midpoint of a line segment between two coordinates. So the search feature is very helpful to students struggling with a specific math skill.

There’s lots of excellent resource here to help you with your math and physics homework and skills.  You can review things you’ve learned and forgotten (how to complete the square on a quadratic equation, which number is the addend in a problem). Practice identifying patterns. Find conversion tools and calculators. And look up the definitions of nearly 600 math terms in an illustrated dictionary. 

Subjects include basic math, data, geometry, money, algebra, calculus, and physics. There’s also a forum, math games and puzzles.

S.O.S. MATHematics offers free resources for math reviews of algebra, pre-calculus, trigonometry, calculus, and differential equations. The emphasis is on review and reference.

Use the site to refresh your memory, or prepare for a test. There are practice tests for intermediate algebra, pre-calculus I, pre-calculus II, calculus, and differential equations. There are also practice tests for “mathematics for social sciences” which encompass matrices, annuities, and exponential and logarithmic functions,
