Scholarships.com

From site: Since its founding in 1998, Scholarships.com has had one goal: to help students find the money they need to complete a college education. In the past few years, we’ve become the largest independent online source for free college scholarship searches and financial aid information. Our mission is to assist students and their families in obtaining college scholarships and to help them explore a variety of valuable financial aid opportunities.

The Scholarships.com difference lies in our database and our proprietary scholarship search engine which uses a personal profile to identify and match the scholarships that are most relevant to each student. Our regularly updated proprietary database allows students to search 2.7 million scholarships and grants worth over $19 billion in aid.

Scholarships.com makes the search process both quick and easy by using its unique filtering process and sophisticated relevancy algorithm to sort awards in order of highest relevancy. Rather than rummage through a list of irrelevant scholarships and grants, students can instantly view awards that offer the most unique fit and therefore highest likelihood of success.

LearningReviews.com note: Be aware that this site also offers fee-based college loans.

FinAid! The Smart Student Guide to Financial Aid

From site:

FinAid was established in the fall of 1994 as a public service. This award-winning site has grown into the most comprehensive source of student financial aid information, advice and tools — on or off the web.  FinAid has earned a stellar reputation in the educational community as the best web site of its kind. It’s comprehensive, it’s informative, it’s objective — and it’s the first stop on the web for students looking for ways to finance their education.

FastWeb!

This site claims to have the largest and most complete database of scholarships available – 1.5 million as of this writing.  New scholarships are continually added. Free registration is required to get a personalized match of scholarships to your profile.

Be cautious of using the student loan section of this site. It advertises private loans, which are among the most expensive.

Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

This is the first step to college funding for most families. A Free Application for Financial Student Aid (FAFSA) gives a student access to federal college grants, federally insured loans, and needs-based college scholarships. The FAFSA is typically completed in January of the high school student’s senior year, and annually thereafter while attending college.
