Visit Accounting Tutorial
Free
Grade Level High (9-12)

From site:  Welcome to this web-based accounting tutorial. This tutorial was initiated as part of the Technology Advantage Program in West Virginia. That program focused on the innovative uses of technology in the support of higher education. The tutorial is being expanded and maintained by the original author with the support of West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV and West Virginia University Institute of Technology, Montgomery, WV...

The designed features and content of this tutorial represent an initial effort to produce an aid to learning the basics of bookkeeping and accounting.

The tutorial contains learning modules that are designed to look and work the same. Our goal is to have simple-to-use, fast-loading pages that produce results - not excitement with "bells and whistles". The basic design of each module is:

  • Discussion of Topic: a brief discussion containing key learning points and possible helpful hints.
  • Go to Questions: a link at the end of each discussion to take you to a choice of questions.
  • Questions: each is a multiple-choice type question relevant to the topic being studied.
  • Answers: each letter choice is a link to an explanation of why the answer is wrong or if it is correct.
  • Explanation: describes why the answer is wrong or if it is correct
