Grade Level Elementary (K-5)

This is an introduction to estimation of length.  It makes extensive use of graphics and pictures to illustrate the concept.  The narration that accompanies the lesson may be difficult for younger children to understand.  So this lesson is best presented to a child with an adult available to interpret hard-to-understand words.

This interactive introduction is useful for homeschooled students.  It's also helpful for students who missed the lesson on length estimation in school, or didn't understand it when first presented.  It provides questions at the end to check for understanding, but it doesn't provide extended practice.
